KILL DA WABBIT

So this week I got the chance to kill both a rabbit and a guinea pig that I ate the following day. I actually ate a ton of Guinea Pig this week

This week has been super windy. The dust has been just killing us walking up and down the roads.

Thanks for all your prayers and support, this week Daniels mom said YES. He will get baptized on Saturday the eleventh with hopefully another one of our investigators named Santiago,

Thanks mom for the care package. Unfortunately we got a letter this week saying that customs is going to not permit candy and food, but I really appreciated all the Dr. pepper flavored jelly beans and I liked Mallorys agenda she made for me, it is kind of confusing that it is in portuguese.

It is an honor to be a representative of Jesus Christ here in Ecuador. I cant believe I already have 6 months out here! Time just flies by. Sometimes it is slow, but looking back the mission really has just flown by.

Today are the changes, I will be with Elder Pinto, who I believe is from Honduras, but I am still waiting for him because he is way up by the border of Colombia so he should get here later tonight. I love you all. take it easy.

FELIZ DIA DEL PADRE

Yeah, so this week was chill. I threw up twice, but I am getting (sick) of those stories. haha get it getting sick?

This week one of my best friends in the ward got mugged and stabbed and it was sad, but he is doing fine now. Our investigator of gold, Daniel cant get baptized yet because his mom hasn't given him permission and she doesn't want to talk to us about it, so please keep Daniel and David in your prayers.

Yeah, so my dad is the best man I know. I cant think of anything but happy moments with him. I am waiting for the day when I can get back and just chill with him, but time is flying by here and I know I need to be busy in the Lords work. I love my Dad so much. He has sacrificed soo much for me. I cant even fathom how much he has done for me. I remember when he came to my basketball games in 3rd grade and when he let me go to speech tournaments in other states. I know my dad and I were best friends even before this world when we were living as spirits in the pre existence.

My dad and I have so much in common. We both love learning random geographical information and playing chess and drinking Dr. Pepper ( there is no Dr. Pepper in Ecuador

My dad is a good example to me in every way. He treats my mom like the Queen that she is. He is super strong in his testimony in Christ. He leads by example. His actions speak louder than words. I can feel his love and support during my hard times even when I am thousands of miles away in the middle of the Andes Mountains in a different continent. I can feel the love and support of him, and I can promise I wouldn't be on a mission without him.

I am grateful for Jesus Christ that made it possible that I can live with my dad for ever and that he will always be my dad and nothing can change that, not even death.

Dad I love you.

Chao,

I THREW UP AGAIN

Yeah, so on Saturday this awesome family cooked us some really famous food from the coast. I started eating it and all was well and I started feeling a little weird. I asked if there were peanuts and they were like. no. and I continued eating and asked again and they said no. I continued eating, asked again they said no, then I said are you sure, and then they were like.....oh crap, yeah there are peanuts. I went outside, took my epi pen, threw up for like 40 minutes, and I felt sooo bad. I felt so miserable, my throat started tightening up, so I called the mission nurse, she told me to get some certain stuff at the pharmacy. This family lives in a rural part of the bottom of the mountain and the pharmacy is way at the top of the mountain. I have to think the pharmacy is somewhere between 11,000 and 12,000 feet above sea level. The air is super thin. So I was breathing super heavily, feeling sick, hiking 40 minutes up the mountain, and the pharmacy was closed! horrible day hahaha.

Church was so cool this week, we talked about the sacrament in Gospel Principles and it was so powerful. I have a strong testimony that God loves us and he is very mindful of us. I am grateful every week we have the privilege and blessing to partake of the Sacrament to renew our baptismal covenants, to have the spirit with us and to receive forgiveness of our sins. I know Christ loves us, his mission is to forgive us not to condem us. I love all of you, thanks for your love, prayers, and support, keep it coming, missions aren´t easy. HAVE A GREAT WEEK.
With Love, Elder Roberts

I THREW UP

Ok, this week was absolutely great. except for like two parts which I will explain.

So, Saturday our Mamita called us and told us we needed to move lunch up to noon instead of at 3, and I just ate this huge pastry with pineapple and she made sooo much food for us. It was really good, but as I was eating I realized that it was too much for my body, I asked where the bathroom was and it was just like connected with the kitchen with a curtain dividing it. I went in there and realized I didn´t want to throw up with everyone hearing it, so I walked out and I said Oh I left my agenda outside, and it started coming, I started running outside and I struggled to open the door and right when I got to the street I just let it all out like a firehose. and then like ten dogs came down and started eating my puddle of grossness. Then my companion and the dad came out to see what was going on and I started throwing up more.

I also got my ingrown toenail removed this week. It was the absolute most painful experience of my life.
We had soo much success, we found two new families of Gold! I testify that the Lord blesses us when we are diligent and is even now preparing people to listen to this message. It was such a testimony builder for me to find so many people who are absolutely ready to listen.

I also met a man today from Brazil who took a picture of my district. He only spoke Portuguese and I could understand what he was saying, and I asked him where in Brazil he was from and he said Piracicaba! Where my sister just finished her mission! It is a small word. Thanks for all your prayers, support, and emails. I love most of you all. hahaha

Titulo= ¡Sorpresa!

My New Favorite Picture. Mi amiga y yo

Yeah, so this week after our zone meeting on Thursday we didn´t have a mamita for lunch, so we went to the Papa Johns right by the chapel and payed six dollars for all you can eat pizza. Six dollars may not sound like much, but a normal lunch down here should cost 1.50 haha. Anyways, I thought I was in paradise, living the dream, eating all I can eat American Pizza...

all you can eat papa johns

better ingredients, better pizza, papa johns

...and then I get a phone call.I heard a familiar voice of my old companion Elder Rodriguez. It was him! I wondered why he was calling me since he wasn't my leader or in the same zone or anything. He told me that he got permission from President to invite me to the baptism of Mishelle on Saturday! Holy cow, I think it was probably the happiest moment of my mission! I worked so hard with Mishelle my last changes, and I was overjoyed to hear that she accepted the invitation to be baptized.

Saturday came, and we took the hour trip to Calderon and there I saw good old Elder Rodriguez and mas que todo my favorite family with Mishelle dressed in white ready to get baptized. I got to give the message before the baptism, I shared from Alma 5 about how baptism allows us to take of the fruit of the tree of life and explained how it is the perfect love of God.
El Bautismo de Mishelle Muchas gracias a la entrevista de Elder Miranda!

Mishelles baptism

It was such a cool experience, I am so glad I was able to be a part of that special day for her. What a miracle!
Other than that, it was a good week, my little amiga Eileen is doing well! I hope everyone is doing good.

Thanks for your prayers and support!
